I maked earrings. You can definitely tell they're my first metal-stamping attempt: one of those Qs has a really shallow top left and a really deep bottom right, and the kerning is weird and the alignment is funky. But I like them.

I thought the layout was intentional. REALLY. as for the angled depth, that would look utterly AWESOME if using two layers of metal, but it's so shallow it doesn't seem to add texture, so I'd call it interesting rather than "HAVE MAH MONEY!"

Deliberately angling depth of impressions and putting letters in an arc could be interesting, too. Play with it, and please, please, keep photo records of your efforts. It'll pay off fast!

Hold that thought. I got a bottle of oxidizing solution yesterday and I think I can make them look better. (And if not, I have more copper discs.) I think I shall try the experiment on Friday, when (because I have the day off work) I will have all the time in the world.
