Write Every Day: March 1
Welcome to the challenge!
sylvanwitch and
ysilme explain it more thoroughly: tl;dr this is to encourage participants to write daily and be supported, supportive, and accountable about it. No pressure! :)
Got any writing plans this month? I have vague notions of writing stuff for the Miraculous Ladybug fandom event
marinettemarch, but right now my head is pretty thoroughly consumed by the ML angstfest I'm titling "stake everything I am on a dream (and it's counterfeit)". If it clocks in under 20K I'll be astonished.
*cheers everyone on*
Also, here is a cute cat photo!

(I haven't figured out how to get my phone's white balance off auto yet, or what it even thinks it's doing sometimes. Everything in this photo is excessively yellow, except the blanket, which is about the right blue.)
Thea is such a help to me.

718 words for me today - some of them while crammed onto an overcrowded and hot tube platform with hundreds of other people as the Victoria line backed up, so goodness knows what they're like, but that's what editing is for :D

Also, that must've sucked.

...118 of those words are a slight elaboration upon [fight scene goes here], because I don't know how that goes in much detail but I do have a grasp on how Gabriel reacts to what it shows of Adrien and Marinette's individual and collaborative fighting styles and also this facet of their relationship dynamic. But hey.

My plan for the month is to write as much as possible for my drabble collection, and hopefully complete it (23 more to go after today.)
Wrote 100 words today.

Sounds like a great project. Themed? *\o/*
Yay, words!

Kind of, every drabble pairs the main character with a different person, so it's fun to try and get all the different characterizations and relationships across in just 100 words :D Here's a link! (the fandom is a manga called Katekyo Hitman Reborn)
Btw, your cat is very cute and please give her pets for me.

Shall :)

I need to find my Bluetooth keyboard.

I wrote 792 on the ambush project. We're post-climax but Things are Still Happening. I'm not quite sure where it's going, exactly, but the villain's dead, so there's that.

Excellent! *\o/*

Thanks so much for hosting! :-)
My goals are three flashfics (to keep up my posting streak on
I'm in New Zealand, so usually a day ahead of everyone else. I wrote an alibi sentence on the 1st, and about 300 words so far today (2nd), both on one of my flashfics.

My plans for this month is to work on two holiday stories and a charity auction fanfic.
So instead I wrote 507 words on my novel which is still good.

Words! Woohoo! And hey, it's writing, it counts!

I spent a fair amount of time on historical novel research, but that didn't lead to actual words being added to anything yet. However, I also started working on a short travel writing assignment for the sort of travel writing challenge I'm slowly doing with my friend.
I think my goal for March is getting a novel idea into an actual writing stage. Most likely the historical novel will be the first one ready enough for writing, because I have more ready background knowledge for it than I have for my sci-fi ideas. I know from experience that the best way to get myself to write a novel-sized thing regularly is to give myself a reasonable deadline for starting. Otherwise I can spend forever in research and brainstorming and planning. And I'm going to have to do more research after the first draft stage anyway, when I know more about the story and the characters!

Good skill and best luck!

I spent most of the day working on my nonfiction project (it was fun -- I lost track of the time).
Then I wrote about 200 words of kind of aimless fiction. Doodling, really. 8-)

Woot! Fun good :)

I was very busy with other stuff yesterday, so I only managed an alibi sentence.
