Socchan's School of Writing Scenes:
So how's the writing?
1) What is the first thing in this scene that a character needs to be doing?...aka my actual fucking life right now, y'all
1a) As in, if you didn't show the character doing this, you would have to write exposition of them doing this
1b) Like, a lot of exposition. Not just one or two sentences.
1c) Honestly, if you have to go into exposition to get to the exposition that explains this scene, back up a step.

On the other hand, rewriting scene two of "swallow my doubt" for improved proximity to real hospital procedure has the fun side effect of bumping up the drama! Even if I do keep going to check something and, five articles later, having to try to archaeologically reconstruct what I wanted the rest of the sentence I was working on to be!

*pokes structure of latest* Don't tell me this is another novella? It's at least a novelette, anyway, I'm 2.8K in and Marinette isn't even on stage yet!
Since it occurred to me we're in the back third of the month now, I just checked and WED hosting is definitely sorted through May;talkingtothesky has the baton for April.

How's the writing going? Me, I have new canon to watch. (Supposedly. And when I fell asleep last night, there was still some disagreement on which episode was actually going to air today. Miraculous Ladybug internal chronology is going to be the death of me.) I'm kinda twitchy about how this might impact my WIP, but I'm not sure why...
