Lady Noire storms inside Tour TVi, a dark blue blanket with two thin red stripes over her shoulder, a phone clutched so tightly in her hand she must be leaving claw marks on its case. Those few people in the lobby at this hour scatter away from her path at the first glimpse of her face: cold and pale as death.

"Warn Nadja Chamack I'm taking over as tonight's guest," Lady Noire snaps.

Somebody calls Arlette. Side by Side is live, but no one wants to find out if, with the Black Cat Miraculous, Ladybug's looks can kill.

so I entirely spaced on needing to close the bedroom door behind me when I got up this morning

so I found Thea sat on the newly catnip-infused scratcher, staring at Zoe, sat five feet away and staring back

and they were both being quiet enough about this that neither azurelunatic nor silveradept noticed before I did, even though both of them were in the same room as the cat staredown

Azz: *helps corral Thea for nail trimming*

Me: *fetches Thea three treats by way of apology for the harrowing experience*

I am thirsty. I am horizontal. Water is in reach, in an easy-spill cup. Thea is cute and also lying on me.

You see my dilemma, I'm sure.

azurelunatic ordered delivery barbecue. Thea keeps trying to steal off our plates, or out of the trash now some barbecue bones have gone in it, and being miffed when she is kept away.

...I don't know what else anyone expected.

So last night sister-roommate broke a bottle of wine. (If she hadn't I'm sure I would have next time I opened the fridge, 'cause really the fridge shelf broke it. At least it was one we weren't really planning on drinking more of?) It being like 11p, we could not vacuum and thus there's still glass on the floor. We're pretty sure.

Therefore Thea has been confined to my room all night, except for the fifteen, twenty minutes I confined her to the bathroom. She woke me up at sux-thirty, you see (omg typo funny, it gets to live), and I figured litter box was why.

After moving her back to confinement in my room, I lay back down in hopes of more sleep, and promptly sprouted a cat on the back of my legs.

She won't move.

And as I (naturally) realized about two minutes after she decided my legs are good pillows, I'm HUNGRY!

Thea has now been to the vet. Poor kitty had to put up with Such Indignities. (She got an antibiotic shot, should hold her for 10–14 days, and if I don't see an improvement in her UTI symptoms in 2–3 days I'm to call the vet.) She'll be fine.

Though if she decides she doesn't like the taste of her cranberry supplements (for bladder health) when their contents are on her wet food, then she will be putting up with Such Indignities twice a day! (Vet nurse showed me how to give her a pill... Very Unhappy Kitty.)
