I think one of the songs we heard at Music Under The Trees (sung by Cade Tinney but I dunno if she's who wrote it) is called "Wrong Together"? IS IT ON BANDCAMP I NEED IT. Princesses and huntresses and dragons!

…actually is Cade Tinney on Bandcamp generally because everything she did was beautiful. Except the kazoo part of—I'm guessing the song's called "Ophelia"? Shakespearean filk of Simon and Garfunkel, anyway—which was just hilarious.

Vixy & Tony, "Furies". Mad Max: Fury Road, but also the current state of US politics. "Who told you there's only three? Remember me!" —hey look last year's version is on YouTube!

So all Ménage à Trio's pieces are improv, and many of them are based on prompts from the audience. Someone said "Schrodinger's octopus", someone else said something like "the death of the immortal jellyfish queen", and when [personal profile] azurelunatic said "Unseelie toddler loose in the farmers' market", Betsy Tinney's face was a sight.

I haven't seen Betsy Tinney, or Vixy & Tony, play live in several years, but I remember being very impressed with their talent.

Heh. A friend of ours was huge into the filk scene here in Seattle and introduced me to a number of acts I would have never listened to or watched.

"Schrodinger's Octopus" came from [personal profile] pocketnaomi -- we were up on the balcony with Colleen (who unfortunately was pretty badly wiped out by the end of the dinner break, so we missed the second half).

There were probably quite a few people there who I only know from DW and so didn't recognize.

I probably did see you; I noticed a couple of people with canes. If you noticed anyone in our group it would have been [personal profile] pocketnaomi, dressed in rainbow stripes, or Colleen, purple dress, purple hair, and wheelchair. I have a fluffy grey beard and was wearing a shirt with flying saucers and little green men on it.

Yes. Stripes about an inch wide. Longish brown hair.

I saw both you and [personal profile] pocketnaomi. I have blue bangs and a dark braid, wearing all black including a long skirt and lacy cardigan and my cane, physically round and crocheting something black with beads. ([livejournal.com profile] cawingcrow was the person with grey hair and a blue fiber art project.)

The cane Alex was using has a sparkly blue hand strap.

We were mostly sitting in the back of the right side next to the stone stairs.
