I'm back! I got bitten by a plot bunny last night, so 1268 words for me today.

I wrote 1475 words on the ambush project and am almost at the end of the first draft, I think. I may even get through the last bit tomorrow, which is...wow, kind of hard to take in, actually. I broke 62K on it today.

O.M.G. - what a word count! *picks jaw back up from floor* I've lost track of what you're up to, as I've been too lethargic over the last two weeks to socialise online, including reading posts, and I figured you'd finished the ambush project already. But it sounds really cool that it's got to this dimensions already, too. ;o) *hugs*

Lol! Yeah, for a story that was supposed to be short, this one definitely grew legs and a mind of its own. And I had originally expected I'd be done by now, as well. I mean, the climax happened several thousand words ago now. But what started as a fun little time travel romance has turned itself into something else, and the resolution is as important, emotionally, as the climax was for the action, so I'm letting people have their say. Whether or not all of it stays is a decision for another time. At this point, I just want to cross the finish line with the rough draft. ;-)

Paragraphs keep going, and now I have an idea of what the plot looks like for one work, but I haven't found the rights words to get there from here.

And it seems to be doing the same thing on the other for fun project, but I did have a good success in writing up a comment for another post that I thought was well-written and possibly insightful.

Writing, writing. Right now, I'm trying to smooth out my story's only explicit sex scene. It's supposed to be awkward and not very sexy, and I can't tell if that's coming across, or if it's just reading as a bad sex scene.

Someone commented on one of my old (2003) fics on Ao3 that they're glad to see that I've posted them. I guess it's not a recent success, per se, but I feel happy knowing someone from back when I was a relatively prolific writer still remembers me.

as for me I was gone most of the day so 100 words on a piece of fanfic because I was too tired to think on my original stuff.

Aaaand, I forgot to check in again yesterday. Sorry. I wrote yesterday, and today, doing the same thing: working on the nonfiction project and adding a sentence or two to the Alibi Sentence Story.

I'm glad you fixed the thing you've been stuck on!

I was exhausted after not having slept well the night before, so I wrote a paragraph of the new surprise project before deciding it wasn't going anywhere with that brain. Later I did some research reading for the historical novel and wrote notes on a plot development idea.

Not much change for me in general, but 234 words of the orig fic, at least.

Checking in for days 14-16: I typed a lot on my phone. Two days I didn't get more done than some paragraphs and once 1150 words.

It's almost the end of the 17th for me, but checking in for the 16th with 428 words!
