I'm not sure whether the local Republican party chairman is wrong or lying. Depends whether he already knows the facts I pointed out in my letter to the editor in response to his wrong-like-a-very-wrong-wrong-thing letter, I guess. My letter summed up: the NYT says GE pays no taxes already, so don't cut GE's taxes. Also, Forbes says Reagan realized his tax cuts were crashing the economy, so Reagan raised taxes. I'd have gone on to say that if tax cuts really are "the most powerful tool available to secure America economically", then why not cut taxes to zero, but I didn't have room.
