tw: racially charged murder (again): In November, a US veteran, Kenneth Chamberlain Sr, was killed by police for the crime of being black and not letting the police into his home. Chamberlain's medical alert system had a false alarm, which summoned assistance that Chamberlain declined to receive, as he was not experiencing an emergency of any sort. The police responded by calling him the N-word, continuing to demand they be let in, causing him to fear for his life, and finally forcing their way in, tasing him, and killing him. This was all caught on record thanks to that same medical alert system. The link has a petition to sign in hopes of getting justice for Chamberlain's murder.
