Can we the people of the United States get a movement together to push for mandatory voting? Or at least mandatory showing-up-at-the-polling-place? Last thing I want is to take away the ability to say 'fuck all y'all' by voting for no one, of course, but I want every single person in the country to have to vote (even if the vote is 'none of the above') or pay a fine for not voting. Instant-runoff voting, too, so parties other than the Democrats and Republicans can have a say. Seems to work fine for Australia.
Does anyone know of an organization that's pushing for mandatory and instant-runoff voting in the US?
