To be fair, this may be fansubber fail rather than canon fail. I kinda doubt that, though.
So the last three episodes of the season—spoilers!—are a mostly self-contained arc involving a role-playing game with miniatures. Miho's character class name is an ethnic slur for the Romani. The miniature, made with loving attention to detail to replicate Miho perfectly, is dressed in a stereotypical-Romani scanty costume, and one of the class's skills is 'finding treasure'. The other is 'once per game, a dice roll is whatever her player wants it to be'; this involves magic. (Four of the five classes mentioned in the first two of the three episodes involve magic, actually. Haven't got to the third one yet.)
Do I know anyone who either, one, knows some Japanese and can look at the episode in question to see if there's a less faily translation of whatever Japanese word/phrase is being translated as the ethnic slur, or two, is willing to help me brainstorm an alternate name for the character class that we can pretend is the real translation? ETA: Thanks!
(If there's zero comments on this when you see it, please comment even if you have nothing to say. That way I know the email post went through. Last one didn't. I think the problem is I was sending it to the email associated with my old username, and I've fixed that, but I still want reassurance that it works and I want that reassurance before I get home in three hours, you know?) Thanks!
