Summary:
So first I defaulted, then I decided to treat my original recip, then I wrote a story plenty long enough to be my assignment (I swear this took no more than two hours, and the thing I originally intended to give them is still sitting incomplete in my Google Drive), and I could have uploaded it before the deadline and then gotten it betaed instead of getting it betaed and then uploading after the deadline. Life's funny sometimes.
The rest of the story here—this bit is set right about dead center of the storyline—is going to be my Camp NaNo novel.
