Fascinating thing to think about: the different implications of 'superman', 'superwoman', 'superboy', 'supergirl', and 'supergenderqueer'. Equally fascinating: the similar implications of 'boyfriend' and 'girlfriend'. 'Genderqueerfriend'?

...I'm easily amused.

The magical-girl-anime novel. Because I'm me, the girls will be multicultural. Suppose one of the first two is black and the other is white, and at first they work separately. Seems obvious to me that the black girl (let's call her Thalia for now) would be condemned as a vigilante and possibly manhunted-for, and the white girl (let's call her Euterpe for now) would be hailed as a superhero, because that's how racial politics in the US work. So what happens when Thalia and Euterpe team up, I wonder? Would Thalia's reputation taint Euterpe's, would Euterpe's reputation wash away (whitewash?) Thalia's, are they obviously working at cross purposes (according to the media anyway), or what do you think would be going on here?
