Pagan folks, this is possibly relevant to your interests: madgastronomer has written A Litany to the Many Dead, currently available for sale on Smashwords (other retailers coming soon). Sample verses are posted at the top link, along with further details. Basically if you're at all interested in or familiar with ancestor worship, I fully expect this to be a thing you find useful.

I read an earlier draft, and madgastronomer has made a point of being very inclusive: for instance, there are verses for the Queer Dead and Trans Dead, the Stolen Dead (which is a reference to the African slave trade) and Shoah Dead, the Activist Dead, and the Forgotten Dead.

Woke up with a splitting fucking headache and I'm pretty sure still a fever. This bodes so well for getting to work today and tomorrow. Mind you, tomorrow is mandatory overtime. Because we were told to work two of these three Saturdays, I can maybe get away with switching from the 3rd/10th to the 10th/17th. Maybe. I wouldn't want to bet on it.

I am itching to do something but I am even more spoon-deprived than usual.

Maybe I'll feel better after I shower?

Things I am not doing: promising to help with somebody else's thing, on account of I have enough shit to be getting on with and also my contributions won't be quality.

Which I might do anyway, actually. But then again I might not. Depends on a lot of things.

Mandatory overtime tomorrow, joy and celebration. I should really go to bed right—wait, why did I just have a bowl of ice cream? I'm sure I had a reason, but I can't think what it was...

Oh what the hell. I don't want to German right now and I definitely don't want to sleep. I will do the thing. At least part of the thing.
