1) Oldest sister and brother-in-law offering to hang out with me yesterday so I would be spending time with people who Get It. (Circumstances prohibited, sort of—we did hang out but it was in company of parents, aunt, and cousins—but they offered, and that means a lot.)

2) Middle sister (and semi-random friend of hers) hanging out with me today and only misgendering/deadnaming me maybe twice all afternoon, which I forgive because this is really the first opportunity middle sister has had to use my real name and pronouns because we hardly ever see each other out of earshot of parents. Delightful afternoon.

3) Youngest sister saying she and I can still find ways to communicate even if parents forbid it on the grounds that she's seventeen and I'm a bad influence or wtfever.

4) Clean dishes.

5) Jeans and slacks that fit properly.

6) Yankee Candle's "Fresh-Cut Herbs" scented candle.

7) Rain.

8) Pineapple pizza.

9) Seltzer water.

10) Sara Bareilles, "Brave". Show me how big your brave is—say what you want to say and let the words fall out, honestly, I want to see you be brave

Fuck.

So I want to show y'all pics of my coffee table, which is now positioned in front of the love seat where it belongs instead of half in the dining nook where it certainly doesn't belong, and which now has a row of books between two Narnia bookends down the middle. But first I want to make the pics 400x300, so they don't break reading pages the way 2048x1536 pics do. I suppose I could accomplish this by opening the pics from within Paint, rather than by right-clicking and selecting "Open in Paint" from Windows Explorer.

But in attempting to do it the "rather than" way just previous, I discovered that Windows Explorer flat out will not let me right-click anything without ceasing to respond and requiring a program restart. Restarting the computer did not improve matters.

And it again occurs to me that my desktop is getting on in planned-obsolescence terms and may be due for a replacement, but I don't want to. And can't afford to. And any Windows box I could possibly get new would be running Windows 10, and there are few words for how much I don't want Windows 10 and none of those words are polite, but I haven't used Ubuntu in years or Mac ever and a changeover to one of those would be nearly as much fun as a change to Windows 10...
