So. I finally succeeded in listening to Hamilton end to end. (Took all evening, because I was listening at work. But I accomplished it.)

...I don't think I get it?

I mean, I will give you "My Shot" as a superb example of various flavors of rhyme, and "Wait For It" is lyrically compelling, and "The Schuyler Sisters" passes Bechdel and Angelica has some rockin' lines therein, and there's obviously a valid point here about narrative—who tells your story. (A meta point, at that, because this same story with a cast as white as the historical figures and music and lyrics drawing much less from PoC styles of music and poetry? Would not be the same story!) And so many quotable quotes throughout.

But...really it's a story by mostly men, about mostly men, and it just flat out isn't resonating for me.

It is however stuck in my head :(
