Dec. 5th, 2016 11:04 amSomething is wrong with my desktop computer. Namely: neither Pidgin nor VLC is making sounds. Sound's enabled on Pidgin, VLC volume's on deafening, computer volume's on deafening, speakers are on, and the sound was working a day or so ago (when the volume was much lower on both computer and VLC). What gives?
(I am sick of things being wrong with my computer. It hasn't bluescreened in a while, but...)
Also this blasted machine still won't recognize my Kindle as being, you know, existent. And it only recognizes my phone as a camera. This makes it difficult to load the Christmas songs onto either device!
...okay, in the process of trying to check all the things, I discovered that Windows Update will not helpfully restart my computer for me during "active hours". So, since I do not want Windows Update to restart my computer for me ever, I am trying to set active hours to 12:00 am to 12:00 am. Problem: active hours max out at twelve hours, and there is no fucking option to "let me restart the damn thing MY OWN SELF".
...fucking thing just needed a restart after all.
