1. Do you write your first draft by hand, or digitally?
Digitally. My handwriting's never been good enough I can consistently read it a week later, nor can I handwrite fast enough to keep up with my thoughts.
3. Planner, pantser, or plantser?
Usually pantser because trying to plan usually kills the story, but adding some planning has done wonders for where the firelight fades. (Which has been the second-longest thing I've ever written since shortly after I got it past 20K, and it's currently at 52K for an estimated total of 60K.)
7. What do you like to eat when you’re writing?
🤣 eat when writing, that's a good one
(part of my problem is words come easiest when I'm hyperfocused on the story. which is not conducive to remembering at frequent enough intervals that food is a thing I need. water either. bathroom breaks. stretch breaks. sleep.)
12. How many drafts does your work go through before you’re ready to show it to people or publish?
Usually one, though the words as they first hit the screen are often somewhat different from the words as they hit AO3.
13. How do you feel about editors and editing?
editors: wonderful helpful people
editing: *makes ward-off gestures*
20. Have you ever gone to school for writing? Would you?
I don't have a bachelor's degree because I only got 3/4 of the credits required for graduation before I ran out of loan eligibility, but if I did I would have a minor in creative writing.
23. What is the first thing you remember writing?
Pern fanfic. I was ten, maybe, and a gold rider. I didn't pick up for yeeeeears on how rapey Dragonflight and Dragonquest and really the whole premise are.
24. What is the last thing you worked on?
My fic for
