Hey Jacqueline Carey? Don't get me wrong, I love the Kushiel series, in particular your emphasis on how pleasure is a good thing and sleeping around is not a bad thing and gay sex and BDSM are shiny things and consent is vital. And you're doing a marvelous job at writing non-European characters. But, uh, could you make one of them your PoV character next time? I just read Naamah's Curse and I am getting a wee bit sick of the storyline where the European girl comes in magic blazing and solves all the chromatic country's problems for multiple countries per book.

I !♥ ants.

I want the fic where Sam memorized some Latin poetry to go with the Latin exorcisms and then Dean did something to annoy him and Sam started reciting Catullus 16 at him, and Dean has a kink for dirty talk which kicked in when he looked up the poem, and then there was sex.

There are some real dumbasses among my classmates in the sexuality course. I don't think it's fair to share their comments, but this week's topic is "Does society have a right to legislate morality? If so, why doesn't society treat other behaviors that are widely considered immoral, such as adultery, in the same way that it treats prostitution?" Draw your own conclusions.

I failed last week's psychology assignment. "Select one of the disorders discussed in the textbook. Search the internet to find support groups/chats, etc. available to those in need. Send the urls (web address) to the instructor, along with the answers to [questions omitted]." Anybody see anything in there to indicate that (for example) [livejournal.com profile] o_c_d is inappropriate for the assignment? Because "Chat groups are not appropriate for this assignment".

Dear author: switching which sex corresponds to which gender role does not a feminist novel make. Especially when your sort-of-Regency-Britain setting gives the nobility titles such as She-Count and has the leading lady a member of the House of She-Lords.
