I have a credit on paperbackswap.com and I'm browsing for something to acquire with it, and I came across a lovely-sounding novel about women in nineteenth-century China. Sounds exactly my speed except that the book description ends by saying it's about "one of the most mysterious of human relationships: female friendship."

Entertainment du jour: apparently a couple of Domino's places noticed nobody was buying pizza with dead pig topping, so said locations stopped selling pizza with dead pig, and omg discrimination against nonMuslims. So said locations went back to selling pizza with dead pig. Now said locations are no longer selling pizza with dead pig, because, surprise surprise, nobody was buying pizza with dead pig.
