Dear world: I'm here, I'm queer, and I'm reclaiming the word. Please to not be telling me to stop using 'queer' on the grounds that it's a slur; that lets the people who use it as one keep the word. Also I have never encountered another term that's as inclusive. QUILTBAG comes close, if we say the Q stands for Questioning and the G for Gay instead of including Queer and Genderqueer, but, one, genderqueer folk exist, two, queer straight cis folk exist, and three, just shut up, all right? It's my self-identifier. If it's not yours, fine, but don't try to tell me what I am.

Dear teacher:

Me going typy-type while you talk is not me disrespecting you. Me going typy-type while you talk is me TAKING FUCKING NOTES. And keeping my fingers occupied so I can focus.

(And also snippets of Sam/Dean hugfic. But we shall not discuss that.)

Me playing with my hair while you talk after you've told me I can't type? That isn't disrespecting you either. That is, again, me occupying my hands so I can focus. Not as effective 'cause I end up with no notes, though.
