Apr. 27th, 2012 12:56 amSo my computer has two names. Europa for the Windows XP side, Callisto for the Linux Mint side.
Callisto is behaving, always has been. Europa has decided that if permitted, she will take X hours to boot, where X is somewhere north of eleven and a quarter. Fucker.
I am rescuing all my files from Europa as we speak—yay for Amalthea the external hard drive—and it's a damn good thing I am going to buy a new computer a week Saturday. I think I'll call the Windows side Ganymede. Dunno about the Linux side yet—not Io, that's my Asus Eee, because I think I'm funny, and that exhausts the Galilean moons of Jupiter unless I reuse a name. Also dunno whether I'm going with Ubuntu or Linux Mint. I ditched Ubuntu when they got the Win7-esque interface, because I hate that interface, but Ganymede will be a Win7 box, so.
