It seems that for months if not years, I have been silently fuming at my sister because she never does laundry ever—our hamper only gets emptied when I empty it, and we have always been supposed to alternate—and she has been silently fuming at me for having the temerity to do her laundry. Communication R Us.

Anybody else noticed that microfiber sheets are exceedingly noisy fabric? Or is that just that they're practically brand new, and my basis of comparison is (cotton) sheets we've been wearing out for years? Will fabric softener make my sheets stop squeaking, do you think?

Where did we get the collective idea that Lucifer fell out of contempt for humanity, or disobeying a command of God's pertinent to humanity? I know it's got to be somewhere, and I know it's got to be somewhere outside Supernatural canon, I just can't figure out where to find it. I thought Paradise Lost, but its Wiki page clearly indicates that humanity postdates the Fall.

Heart going thumpa-thumpa hundred beats a minute. (I counted.) My ass has
been sat in this chair at least twenty minutes, and if we don't count a
couple fifteen-step trips to the printer and back, for nearly an hour, so
it should be at resting heart rate, which Wiki assures me somebody my age
with below-average health (and I'm not sure whether I'm in that category or
'average', but pretty sure I'm not in 'poor') should have a resting heart
rate in the near vicinity of eighty bpm. And I don't have any of my other
usual symptoms of anxiety. I suppose it's possible it never slowed down all
the way from the treadmill earlier this afternoon, but that was five hours
ago and I didn't notice my heart going fast between the shower after
exercising and maybe fifteen minutes ago.

I wonder how I'd look with a pixie cut. And if I could tolerate having my
hair that short, and paying a hairdresser every so often to keep it that
short. I suspect the answer is I shouldn't, because historically I only
remember to get a haircut once a year and also haircuts are fifteen dollars
and I suspect maintenance on a pixie cut is at least once a month, but I
think I'd like to try.
