crocheted shawlette in greens and blues

It is three am and I wanted to be asleep by midnight bad enough that I was in bed by quarter of twelve. I am consequently irritated by my continued wakefulness. But I have a consolation prize now: is the above shawlette. Is sparkly!

Not of any practical use whatsoever, but greens and blues and sparkly!

And now I am going the fuck to bed.

I see it is December Days sign-up time again. Since I was such massive fail last go-round, I am not doing the 'ask me for topics' thing this year.

I am however publicly committing to posting something every day of December. It is possible it will simply be "hi", but it will be a post. And hey, maybe I'll actually get through the rest of the list from last December...
eta: screw it. posting a sign-up list.

And remind me at the end of December that I want to New Year's Resolutions a daily poetry post in 2015.

I am trying to come up with a third biblically-themed quartet of names. I've got the four matriarchs of Israel and the four Gospel authors. I've discarded the archangels (they're really more of a trio or septet anyway, depending), the patriarchs of Israel, and the wives of Jacob. (Poor Bilhah and Zilpah. Nobody names kids for them.)

I'm debating the ancestresses of Jesus as named in Matthew 1, but there's five of them and I'm not sure anyone these days actually names kids 'Rahab' or 'Bathsheba'. (Hell, either IE or Gmail doesn't even think 'Rahab' is a word!) I'm also thinking about David, Jonathan, Abigail, and Michal (or more likely Michelle--it's close enough to the right sound and is a lot more common in the present era), but that doesn't really feel like a natural quartet.
