Uh-oh. This Seussical fic I want to write? Basically the tale of Heterocis Able White Woman Discovers White Feminism. (Gertrude seems coded white to me. Possibly just because the production I saw Sunday cast a white woman as Gertrude, in contrast to the Sour Kangaroo, played by a black woman. But still.) This is not particularly a tale I as an intersectional feminist wish to tell. But it's definitely the story in my head. Argh.

Maybe if Ms. Kangaroo has a significant role. Which really, canonically speaking, she ought to have in any post-show fic significantly involving Horton and family, given her last few lines of the show.
