I see the posting meme several times on my page and am too lazy to copy-paste it. My mother, were she to read this and care, would comment that I am expending more effort in explaining that than I would in just copy-pasting the meme text.

From the department of 'ew': Did y'all know it was possible to sneeze (or blow your nose, I forget what actually happened here) hard enough to send gunk up into your ear? Because I did that this morning. Twice. That is a big part of why I am at home typing this entry, not at work making time and a half money.

ETA: Thrice, and it was definitely blowing the nose, not sneezing. I'll stop counting now.

Another name which I will provide in comments, which is Irish, feminine-coded or gender-neutral, and does not begin with M

I have my favorite among the above choices, but I'm not sure it suits the character. And one of the two M characters has to be renamed, and the other M character I'm more attached to the name she's already got.

ETA: Okay, y'all can stop now. I forget how to close the poll, though.

In your own space, talk about your creative process - from what inspires you to what motivates you to how you manage to break through blocks. Does your process change depending on the type of creating you're doing? Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I've never figured out what inspires me, honestly. What motivates me—there's the "stories beating at the inside of my head" factor, and the "not enough stories featuring marginalized people" factor, and depending on the term the "this is a school assignment my grade depends on it" factor. (but obviously that last isn't fannish per se)

I'm not so good at breaking through blocks. Usually I just wait till they go away on their own.

When you see this, make a post in your journal or in a community. It can be anything: a crosspost something you've posted on Tumblr, a few words about the last thing you read/watched, or just a "Hi, how is everyone?" Then go read your f-list and leave at least one comment.

Two more of my courses are available on Blackboard and Canvas! (One each, plus the one that was already available on Canvas. I have to check both platforms all term. Boo.)

The QTPoC Arts/Activism course seems to be missing a lot of instruction compared to other courses by the same professor. Like, we're told what the reading is (or perhaps more accurately, what the readings are: I haven't checked the contents of the Muller book, which is about June Jordan, to see whether the Jordan reading is there or in the other Jordan book), we're told that in week one we're to post "T'ang Poetry" and "Free Verse Draft" and "Use Jordan Guidelines to give feedback", oh and Critical Response 1 is due and also four discussion posts and probably nine or twelve responses. And that's it. That's our instruction for the week. You see why I think something's missing. (What in hell does he mean by "T'ang Poetry" and "Free Verse Draft"?)

The yoga course is very video-heavy. This does not thrill me.

Also, [personal profile] jjhunter is doing a How Are You? In Haiku thingamabob.
