Nothing like finding out you're a little shit. Apparently one is supposed to tip hairstylists! And I have been getting a haircut about six times a year for...how many years have I worn my hair short? And never once has it occurred to me to tip the stylist!

Yeah, next time I'm in there she's getting like $75-$100 in cash for back tips.

Apparently Bell Book & Candle is closing next week. I am ridiculously sad.
I mean, I only realized it was a thing a month or two ago, and it being a
thing three blocks from my workplace means there must be a thriving local
Pagan scene (even if I haven't gone to find that scene yet) to support the
store--and apparently the store is insufficiently supported to stay open.

this post made sense in my head

I feel like I have a hundred things that require long and attentive Thought
that I need to take time to think about. I also know I have three
hundred more (or more seemingly) urgent things that require my time and
attention, or at least are louder about wanting it.

I am now seriously miffed that I'm unlikely to be able to disappear into
Shenandoah anytime soon for a week alone and away from all the noisythings.
(Internet is very much a noisything.) By "anytime soon" I mean "before
circa September 2016", because my June vacation vagueplan is Free Spirit
Gathering in Maryland. (Which is gonna be PEOPLE PEOPLE PEOPLE and NOISE
NOISE NOISE.)

(Galina Krasskova and Raven Kaldera in Neolithic Shamanism have an
exercise that involves unplugging all the crap in one's house that makes
noise for a weekend when one will be undisturbed, then staying silent
oneself for that whole weekend. Apparently it usually takes several tries
for one to complete this exercise successfully. Gee what a shock.)
