The trouble with being a square dancer is the opportunity to go have fun square dancing comes with an implicit or explicit requirement to socialize.

I just realized. I don't need to go to Christmas or Easter Mass EVER AGAIN. I only had to before because I was living under my parents' roof! I won't be doing that anymore!

This message brought to you by wondering whether the family Christmas letter would be an appropriate forum to come out to my extended family. Of course, that's contingent on Mom putting my paragraph into the letter exactly as I write it...which is frankly unlikely...

Finally accomplished open-me-first box suitcase (mostly—need to add, per [personal profile] untonuggan's list, meds, chargers, bandaids, flashlight, and light bulbs) and a small suitcase with a week's worth of clothes and toiletries. It occurs to me to wonder how vital these might be given that I am moving piecemeal over several days, not like cross-country. But there they are. I also have a bag packed with the textbooks and handful of DVDs and other books I kept out. So the things I am definitely moving first are the bright purple suitcase set (less the duffel, unless it gets to carry the cleaning supplies that are being acquired this week and then moved first), the two boxes labeled Important (one of which is not yet packed, oops), and book box 17 for reasons. That should all fit in my car trunk.

My head hurts and my face itches and there's a fly won't stop buzzing and I keep getting dizzy.

Some days I really wish learning the meanings of and differences between kinks, squicks, and triggers, and when to label content for which, was a mandatory part of high school.

...anti-trigger-warning people on Facebook, you see. Virulently so. Viciously so. I respect "choose not to warn", but at least that warning tag respects the concept of warnings and is not masquerading as "no warnings apply"!

Lol @ American writer who, when quoting a British translator, puts "[sic]" after every instance of "honour".

I think I only have one or two more boxes to pack in my bedroom. Do I have the energy to go pack them?

I am not counting repacking the box of books I found under the pile of yarn stash. It's a partially-full too-big-for-heavy-things-like-books box, so I need to move its contents to at least one smaller box. Assuming I keep the contents. Lots of it is Supernatural tie-in books, either Official Companions to each season or fiction of dubious canonicity. Frankly I'm half surprised I'm keeping the Blu-rays...

ETA: Have decided I am not in fact keeping the tie-ins. Or the fannish essay collections about Supernatural. I will probably break them down individually on the garage sale post tomorrow. Right now I am tired.

I figured out some of my missing ninety-odd books. Tamora Pierce. I have not packed a single Tamora Pierce book. And yet LibraryThing assures me I possess twenty-four hardcopy volumes of her works, none of which that I've looked at are in a "box #" collection.

Probably means they're in with the family books, or have migrated to my sisters' shelves. I'm not going to worry too much—I have the whole of Emelan on Kindle, and I don't care as much for Tortall.
