...if the reason I am not continuing to pack right now is that I'm almost out of things that pack neatly (that is, books and DVDs and such) that need packing, I shall be very annoyed with myself. Because there's about one box's worth left of books upstairs, not counting books I'm keeping out for reasons, and that's the end of the stuff that packs neatly.

I am debating the merits of boxing up things that are already bagged up. I should probably box up the overstuffed tote bags of jewelry supplies, but crochet projects and whatnot can probably be tossed in my car trunk in the tote bags they're currently in and suffer no harm in the transit.

I hauled three book boxes up from the basement to the room adjacent the front door. I am wore out. I clearly need to work on these "physical strength and stamina" things. On that note, it's supposed to rain fairly soon but not tremendously soon, and it is pleasantly warm out per Accuweather, so I believe I am going for a walk.

Aw SHIT. You know what I'm not gonna have home access to once I move? Printer and scanner. (I own neither. Never needed them, because I had access to Dad's!) You know what I seriously can't possibly afford right now? Printer and scanner!

...I'll make do by printing things at work or the library, I suppose, and I will just try not to do anything that requires a scanner—and if that proves infeasible, I can always visit the house...

So Mom owes me two 12-packs of Barq's, for reasons. She cannot for the life of her find Barq's at a price she's willing to pay. So she has told me that in place of the Barq's, I can raid her pantry shelves for a few basic things to stock my pantry shelves.

Score.

(right, that's another thing needs to go on the shopping list. Barq's! or at any rate caffeinated soda, because somehow I got to the point of drinking two cans of Pepsi a day and, while I really am trying to cut back, if I don't cut back slowly I will be an exceptionally miserable Alex.)

Hauled most of Basement Box Mountain up to main floor. Ooof. :(

Desktop is being shut down. Slowly, because it is stuck on update 18 of 24. Is probably not being turned on again until apartment.

Oh hey 22 of 24! Yay!

REST TIEM.

Bar a few books I'm keeping out for reasons (and of course the garage sale pile, which on contemplation is not going to Goodwill if unsold, it's going to the Friends of the Dover Library), all the books in my bedroom* are in boxes.

:( :( :(

:D :D :D

Also I get to keep the smaller of the two bookcases currently in my room, per Mom, which is okay by Dad. I don't get to keep the larger bookcase. This gives me a total of two bookcases (three if we count the DVD shelves, but we're not counting that not-bookcase because my DVDs fill it up) to contain, at last count, twenty-nine boxes of books. (1302 books in my library, according to LibraryThing, excluding the 33 to sell. Very nearly all the books I'm moving are boxed now, though: I think I can finish filling 29 and then redub the CD box "books 30 / CDs" and finish filling that box and that's the end of it.) I SERIOUSLY need to weed this shit. Not to the point that the collection will fit on just two bookcases, mind, that's Marie Kondo levels of NOPE. Which is not to disparage Kondo—much—just, she thinks thirty is a reasonably sized book collection!

* that are mine. Rather a lot in fact belong to my sister...

Oh, that wasn't a horribly transphobic remark on Family Feud just now, that was in fact an instance of the questionee mishearing the question. I don't feel better.

ETA three hours later: Diagnosis Murder is definitely being transphobic, though. Intensely so. Argh.

Bed frame is rescued from the depths of the basement! Love it when a plan comes together.

...Bed frame is spiderwebbed and dusty, but those are curable conditions.

No, brain. I so hella CANNOT revive the Translucent magazine project this term. Winter or spring, maybe.

I'm not sure the Alexeigynaix magazine project will ever be a thing. :(

Okay, how does one discern which books in one's LibraryThing library are NOT in a specific collection? Or, better, not in any of several collections? I am trying to figure out if I have LT record of any more books that I have not put in one of the box-number, to-sell, currently-reading, or awol collections. Because I think all my books, almost, are packed, and I want to know which ones are not. The bookshelves collection is empty, but there were a bunch of shelved books not so collected...

ETA: there are, if I've mathed right, 91 books in my library that are unaccounted for. NOT counting the fifteen I knew about. And I don't seem to have any way of discerning which books are in the 91. Fuck.
