I wonder if I dare assume that the RegNewHire line item on my pay stub is gone for good. Because if it is (and it hasn't been present for a while), then there's a little more flex in my budget. Maybe enough, if the $700/yr figure I see for cat ownership (plus initial expenses, of course) is accurate, to get a kitty!

...one kitty, probably, and I still want two. But. And reasonably speaking I should deal with debt first. BUT.
