Nov. 16th, 2018 06:57 pm[R]eligion itself is, by definition, something that has to be taken on faith. Religion is not rational, explainable, predictable, logical, or tidy; face it, no one has yet been able to logically prove the existence of the Gods. There can’t be religion without faith in something—some deity, some uniting force, some greater purpose that drives the universe. None of these beliefs can be rationally justified except by logic intrinsic to the religion that is justifying itself. And I believe that’s okay. I don’t want my religion to be rational! I have to be rational in the rest of my life, why not give me an arena where I can think with my heart as well as my head? What harm comes from personally experiencing those deities I love?
