all I wanted to do was open Powerpoint
I closed Firefox first—that's why the RAM usage dropped by like thirty percent and over two gig; yes, I know I shouldn't have three hundred tabs open, shush—and that didn't seem to help. It just does this hundred percent disk utilization crap sometimes. Other apps open were VLC (paused) and Discord and a couple Windows Explorer windows. That's it! And yes, that does say average response time of half a second, when one-tenth of a second is high enough to be a problem; that's not even my record, though that number fluctuates fast enough it's probably the highest I've managed to screenshot. I think my record is upwards of nine-tenths.
