Dec. 9th, 2019 01:13 pmToday is the last Magpie Monday of the year! Join in the fun at
dialecticdreamer’s page by suggesting a story idea, and get it! This month’s theme is endings and beginnings, but the fun is the interactions between reader and writer, and I thank everyone who helps make these events my favorite part of Dreamwidth posting.

Oct. 22nd, 2019 01:51 pmnominations for
holidayartswap are open till the end of the month; this is a Yuletide-style fanart exchange for canons with less than 100 works tagged "Art" on AO3
(they are not counting anything not on AO3 this year, I checked, which is why I am getting away with nominating Miraculous Ladybug)

Oct. 16th, 2019 09:43 amIf anyone still has active Yahoo Groups, or stuff they'd like to archive from defunct ones, do that quickly:
Yahoo has made the decision to no longer allow users to upload content to the Yahoo Groups site. Beginning October 21, you won't be able to upload any more content to the site, and as of December 14 all previously posted content on the site will be permanently removed. You'll have until that date to save anything you've uploaded.

Aug. 2nd, 2019 01:09 pmFrom a Facebook friend I've known for a long damn time:
(probably also worth noting that, while Jennifer is a cis woman, she was a trans man for a couple years and she was nonbinary for a couple years, and I have never heard a trans-hating word from her, so you understand why in her position I might think "high-viscosity genderfluid" is a more accurate description.)
Hey, trans woman friends! I need to ask some questions about your experiences as a trans woman AND your opinions about what you would do/how you would feel in a faerie world. It's for a faerie novel. Bonus points if you're familiar with fae fantasy. I am DEFINITELY paying you for your time/words, so let me know what you'd charge. I'm thinking per question/per answered word. I'm going to use a google form I think.(I am longing to see the resulting novel here. Like "trans women" and "faerie world" is all I need to hear to go GIV ME, GIV NAO. And Jennifer's a pretty good writer.)
If you want confidentiality, email me at JenniferLPartin@gmail.com.
