...if I lost points for not including a Works Cited page that the instructions did not say was required...

ETA: yes, apparently I was supposed to intuit that the Works Cited page was necessary. "I hear your frustration but". ARGH.

I need to read the rest of Louise Erdrich's The Round House (PSA: trigger warning for offscreen violent rape and attempted murder and onscreen aftermath thereof, and also a teenage boy being a creep in first-person PoV, and that's just in the first fifty pages) and write a five-page paper analyzing a character from it. But it is so much more fun to surf Amazon and figure out what I'm getting the lady whose ornament I grabbed off the Be a Santa to a Senior tree at the library.

Andrea Smith is assigned reading in one of my classes for like the fourth time in my college career. (Same piece, too. Heteropatriarchy and the Three Pillars of White Supremacy.) I'm wondering if maybe I should try to get my university to, if not take her off all the curricula for fraudulently presenting herself as Native, at least asterisk her name in all the syllabi. (Because you know the point of putting her in the curricula was to get a WoC perspective on the issue, and it turns out she's...not a WoC.)
