Aug. 9th, 2014 10:45 amSo I got one of the emails from Amazon to Kindle self-pubbers, the text of which is posted at readersunited.com. You don't know how tempting it is to email the addresses they provide (one is at amazon dot com) and say something to the effect of "Dear AMAZON: You want Hachette to stop using its authors as leverage? How about YOU stop using authors as leverage? Which I know for a fact you're doing, because I follow several Hachette authors on Twitter who've complained that their books are un-orderable, or taking a week or three to get in stock, from Amazon when other retailers have no problem. Also, why exactly do you think Hachette would care about the opinions of self-pubbers?"
