Name A Character Auction / Busker Hat Post
Apr. 1st, 2016 01:45 amSo I'm going to need at least two bit parts for Inherit the Flame. I could just name them "Mary" and "John" or whatever (no, actually that's not after Supernatural, it's after a friend's parents—and no, the friend's name is neither Dean nor Sam), but I figure people might be interested in seeing themselves, a friend, or so forth represented in these pages.
Thus! I am holding an auction!
Bid in replies to the threads below—reply to my comment, not to any previous bidders' comments. (Anonymous comments on this post are NOT screened, but must contain contact information of some description in order to win. Anyone who takes advantage of the lack of anon-comment screening to be an asshole to anyone or to evade a ban from my journal will find their comments deleted with prejudice.)
Bidding starts at $2 and goes up by increments of at least $2.
The auction will last until the tenth of April. The winner of each auction will be notified on that date and will have until the thirteenth to paypal.me or cash.me their winning bid. And then we get to talk details of the character!
Conditions:
* The character must be an artist of some kind—poet, painter, knitter, vidder, what have you.
* If the character is modeled on someone other than yourself and you have not obtained their consent to do this thing, do make sure that person will not recognize themselves in the description—at the very least, change the name to protect the guilty!
* If the character is modeled on a fictional character from some other property, let's figure out a way to not have the copyright lawyers jump down my throat, hm? I plan to sell this novella.
Okay? Okay!
