Iiiii don't think I am marathoning any TV today.
(1) It is nine-forty and my work due today is not yet all done.
(2) Too many of the readings I just did are audiovisual and now my head hurts.
(3) Virginia Woolf says women (well, people in general, but she's making a point about women) need time, money, and "a room of one's own" to write, and I have been lacking time (and money) and consequently not writing a hell of a lot. And Gloria Anzaldúa says, in essence, fuck that, write anyway. Which, valid point, because if the only people who get to write are the people who are privileged in the ways Woolf says people need to be in order to write, then all the stories told will be from a privileged point of view (obvious problem: obvious) and also they'll probably all be the same story. As
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie explains, problem. So, you know. Fuck all that, I'm gonna write. Not quite sure what
to write, but I'm gonna write. ...just as soon as I get the last WGSS reading done and the discussion post, and it might be wise to start in on the GEO readings and discussion post due tomorrow. (What did I
do this weekend? Oh yeah, was running around doing shit for
Translucent.)
