And Pharaonic Egypt was around a long damn time: the New Kingdom lasted from about fifteen hundred to about a thousand years before Cleopatra.
Why, then, does my brain say that in the fictional geopolitics of Viva La Vida, the Roman Empire equivalent is the first source of external conflict my young New Kingdom pharaoh faces? I can't imagine throwing magic into the mix would fuck the timeline that thoroughly...
