So the thing about transracialness (not in reference to adoptees) vs transgenderness? The latter goes both ways. Assigned-male folks are women just about as often as assigned-female folks are men. And trans men acquire male privilege just as fast as trans women lose it. Case in point, what's his face, that one trans male scientist, first name Ben, open about having been born Barbara, who has been told at least once that he's so much better a scientist than his sister (because obviously Barbara Whatshisface is Ben Whatshisface's sister).
And yeah, Rachel Dolezal probably did lose a chunk of privilege when she started putting on blackface full-time. Which may well be comparable to the loss of male privilege experienced when a presenting-male person starts presenting female full-time. But:
Show me a PoC-to-white transracial person who acquired white privilege in the same way that Ben the scientist acquired male privilege. If the individual in question is visibly dark-skinned, all the more convincing, because a person of color who can pass for white gets splash white privilege in a lot of situations, and that's not at all the same thing.
Hell, show me a PoC-to-white transracial person full stop.
(Someone brought up 'transabled' sometime today, too. Yeah, that doesn't work both ways either.)
