I would add the caveat that if you do not have the skills to fix it (and especially if you have been told all your life that you're not supposed to have the skills to fix it 'cause you're a girl), you ought still be able to own it (for any value of 'it'), but they already thought of [at least part of] that; one of the bullet points under "We have the right:" is "to choose our own repair technician".
