sunday six

I want to finish both of these fics today, but realistically I will actually finish fewer than that, and while I want to prioritize the one for fan_flashworks so I can post it while it's still "Coincidence" theme instead of waiting for next amnesty, I have better momentum on the one that's following on from buggachat. So I'm giving you six sentences from each, so you definitely have a teaser from a fic that probably won't be posted by the end of the day!

From "Mortification" (read the comic first maybe):

Too slow, Chat noticed the raybeam: it burned with shame-guilt-fever-nausea-choking and the certainty that only telling the truth he wanted hidden would ease it—

"I have nightmares about killing you that way," Chat told Ladybug, and sucked in a clear breath—

—No, no, he didn't want her to know that—

Her head snapped up, face pale. "Okay, that's enough of your secrets," Ladybug decided, leaping to her feet in time to take the next hit. "Not the first time I've publicly humiliated myself," she added, a wry twist to her mouth. "Just the first time I've had the mask on for it."

From "I apologize to necessity (just in case I'm mistaken)":

"Yeah, I did the math on how much air Bubbler left us." Chat Noir glanced around again, twitchy, and tried to slam his staff through opposite sides of the [akuma glass] globe again. "This is not that much bigger."

Ladybug winced. "So there's still a time limit. Do I want to know—"
