Dec. 28th, 2013 07:24 pm(1) It is difficult to follow a movie while crocheting.
(2) Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire, which was awesome when I was a kid and I remember Kida and Audrey fondly, has too damn much colonial Western ideas about knowledge and power and the acquisition thereof in the first half for me to want to watch the second half. Argh. Audrey's still awesome but I don't want to put up with this movie enough longer to find out if Kida's still awesome. And unlike all the Disney I watched this summer, I'm not getting any course credit out of watching it.
(3) How come the apparently only sources of yarn in this county are the AC Moore and the JoAnn Fabrics? I don't want to drive an hour and change to any of what the Internet tells me are the closest yarn shops to me. (I mean, the Internet also says there's one on [street], but I am down that street regularly and I have never seen anything that looks like a yarn shop.) And the AwareKnits and Knitting Green books I got from the library say really good things about yarns that are simply not available at AC Moore or JoAnn.
(4) Fever. Headache. Sniffly sneezy coughy sore throat. Maybe I'll go take another nap.
