(no subject)

I would prefer not to install iTunes on my laptop.

I know of no other apps that will automatically download podcast episodes in a useful manner. If I need to use the same app I downloaded the episode with in order to identify the episode, it is not useful; if I need that app to listen to the episode, it is the opposite of useful.

Googling podcast apps does not tell me whether any of the suggested apps download episodes usefully. Suggestions please? Windows 10 and/or Android. Preferably both, as getting files between laptop and tablet currently involves either Google Drive or applying USB reader to tablet SD card. (Taking tablet to computer doctor for fixing its USB port is still not high priority, but it does make things inconvenient.)
